Earlier this year, Ontario State Council rolled out a new KofC 50/50 Lottery program, which will be conducted on a quarterly basis. The first rollout phase was successfully conducted during the first quarter of 2021, having raised nearly $50,000 in total with one early bird winner of $2,500, and one grand prize winner of over $24,000.
I am pleased to announce that Credit Valley Council will be participating in the second rollout phase, which is running presently. This phase will continue to run until the end of June 2021, and to date – over $10,000 has already been raised!
The process is simple, and fully complies with regulations and recommendations from health authorities. Promotion of the 50/50 Lottery, and the sale of tickets is conducted 100% online. There will be no physical tickets, no cash transactions, no paper-based administration, and zero physical interaction. Attached is a poster, which you may circulate as necessary.
For those who wish to purchase tickets and/or obtain further background information on the Lottery, they can visit this website: https://www.kofcontario5050.com/
***IMPORTANT – when entering your billing information, there will be a drop down box which simply indicates “Organization” – you must select “Mississauga Credit Valley 8661”, so that our Council is appropriately credited for those ticket sales***
Alternatively, for those who wish to bypass the informational landing page, and simply go direct to purchase tickets, you may use this personalized link for our Council: https://ontariokofcraffle.5050central.com/?olc=8661. You will notice that the “Organization” drop down box is pre-populated with our Council name.
Once tickets are purchased, you will immediately receive an e-mail with your digital lottery ticket containing your lucky numbers. The cost to participate is 15 numbers for $10, 40 numbers for $20 or 100 numbers for $40. Anyone and everyone can play (resident of Ontario, 18 years or older) – this is open to KofC members, family, friends, co-workers, neighbours, etc.
I am hopeful that this lottery program will provide a safe and positive fraternal experience for all Brother Knights and their families, and provide a means of raising funds for our Council and our charitable activities during this challenging time. If you have any questions at all, please call or email me directly and I will be happy to assist in any way that I can.
